The Wound Care Center & Hyperbaric Medicine at Frankfort Regional Medical Center has been recognized as a recipient of the Center of Distinction award and the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award, by Healogics®. The Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92 percent, and scored in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics® Wound Care Centers.
"Receiving these awards validates our Wound Care Center is doing a great job in taking great care of the Frankfort area and surrounding communities”, said John Ballard, PhD, chief executive officer at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. “Our patients have entrusted us with getting them healed in a timely manner using advanced therapies.”
Frankfort Regional offers advanced wound care services, including negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies. The Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.
"These awards are the result of hard work by a great team of nurses and staff members, as well as our leadership team”, said Joseph A. Milum, MD, CWSP, medical director of the Wound Care Center at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. “We would not be able to obtain these awards without the support from our patients.”
