Frankfort Regional Medical Center was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky for 2014 - making the recognition the eighth consecutive for the hospital. This year marks the 10th year of the annual awards competition after being created in 2005 and is a project of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky SHRM Council and Best Companies Group.

“Being named as one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky for the eighth consecutive year demonstrates the winning culture our employees have created and embraced here,” said Chip Peal, the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our employees are just as important as our other customers – patients, families and affiliated physicians. We listen to and respect their opinions, respond to their needs to the best of our ability, and treat them as indispensable parts of our organization.”

This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Kentucky, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in Kentucky 2014 list is made up of 90 companies in three categories – 29 in the small category (15-149 employees), 32 in the medium sized category (150-499 employees), and 29 in the large category (more than 500 employees).

The selection process, managed by Best Companies Group, is based on an assessment of the company’s employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey.

Frankfort Regional Medical Center will be recognized and honored at the 10th Annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Heritage Hall in the Lexington Convention Center. The final rankings will be announced at the event.
