Frankfort, KY (July 27, 2009) - Frankfort Regional Medical Center proudly announces the addition of gastroenterologist Paul Warfield, M.D. to its active medical staff. Dr. Warfield has opened a practice in Frankfort in the Frankfort Medical Pavilion next to the hospital. Dr. Warfield has more than 19 years of experience and comes to Frankfort after spending time in private practice in Lexington, Versailles and Shelbyville. Dr. Warfield has special interests in gastrointestinal endoscopy, liver disease, Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis, colon cancer prevention, and all general gastrointestinal diseases.

Dr. Warfield received his doctorate of medicine from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed a residency and fellowship in gastroenterology from the University of Chicago Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Warfield is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association and Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America.
