Frankfort Regional Medical Center (FRMC), part of HCA Healthcare, kicked off Healthcare Day, a signature initiative of the Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Frankfort since 1980.
Leadership Frankfort is a membership-based initiative composed of emerging and established leaders in Franklin County. Through themed sessions held throughout the year, participants gain insight into Frankfort’s economy, key industries and organizations that contribute to the region’s growth and vitality. The program fosters meaningful connections and provides hands-on learning experiences designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the community.
“Leadership Frankfort provides a unique opportunity to open doors throughout our community and highlight the organizations that contribute to our collective success,” said Tish Shade, president and chief executive officer of the Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce. “Through this program, we cultivate meaningful connections by introducing emerging leaders to local businesses, demonstrating the value of collaboration and shared growth. As part of Healthcare Day, participants visited Frankfort Regional to learn about the hospital’s robotic technology used in total joint replacement and general surgery, showcasing the advanced care that is available in the Frankfort community.
“We were excited for the opportunity to share the technologies and expertise that enhance the care we provide,” said John Ballard, chief executive officer of Frankfort Regional. “It also gave us valuable time with community stakeholders to discuss how we can continue working together to support the health and safety of those we serve.”
The morning concluded with hands-on CPR demonstrations and fire safety training led by the Frankfort Fire and EMS team. Participants later visited the Franklin County Health Department to continue discussions on collaborative efforts that strengthen community health.
Frankfort Regional works alongside local leaders and organizations who share a commitment to the health and well-being of the community. Through programs like Leadership Frankfort, the hospital works alongside community partners to promote lasting health and well-being across Franklin County.
