Frankfort, KY (December 14, 2010) - Frankfort Regional Medical Center proudly announces the addition of nephrologist Ayman Geneidy, M.D. to its active medical staff. Dr. Geneidy has joined Central Kentucky Nephrology in Frankfort. Dr. Geneidy has special interests in secondary hypertension, diabetic renal disease, renal stone disease and home dialysis modalities.
"Dr. Geneidy will make a great addition to our medical staff, hospital and our community," said Chip Peal, Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Geneidy received his medical degree from the University of Alexandria in Egypt. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Alexandria and completed his residency in internal medicine from the University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Geneidy also completed a fellowship in nephrology from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology and is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology, International Society of Nephrology, American Society of Hypertension, and Renal Physician Association.
