Center for Women's Health in Frankfort

At Frankfort Regional Medical Center, the Center for Women's Health offers healthcare services for all stages of a woman's life. Our team of experts provide care for women who are pregnant, in need of a well-woman exams and may require advanced surgery. We also offer access to highly trained specialists to provide the very best care possible.

Gynecology services

Located on the second floor of the hospital, our Center for Women's Health is fortunate to be associated with quality providers, including specialists in obstetrics and gynecology, gynecological surgery, neonatology and certified nurse midwives.

Compassionate, specialized care

The Center for Women's Health follows the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN) guidelines for staffing and for evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. In addition, all of our nursing staff are certified in Fetal Heart Monitoring and Neonatal Resuscitation. We also offer several support classes for our families on a continual basis.

We care for all types of postoperative gynecological surgeries, including traditional and laparoscopic procedures, such as hysterectomy, endometrial ablation, laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy (LSH) and stress urinary incontinence surgery. We also have our own operating room for a patient needing a Cesarean section.

Infertility

Wanting to start a family and not being able to can be a difficult experience. Our team of supportive healthcare providers and board-certified OB/GYNs offer compassionate services for women who are unable to conceive children naturally.

High-risk pregnancy

A woman may face a high-risk pregnancy for a number of reasons, such as if she is carrying multiples or has a chronic disease. Frankfort Regional's specialists provide the expert, compassionate care high-risk pregnancies demand during pregnancy and childbirth.

Labor and delivery

When it's time to bring your little one into the world, our labor and delivery team is prepared to provide you the best care, whether you have your child vaginally or through Cesarean section. Our team also provides private postpartum rooms so you and your baby can spend his or her first precious moments alone.

Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)

Our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides specialized medical care for newborns who need a little extra support after birth. Also, mothers and babies generally won't have to be separated to get the care they need, which makes life much easier on mom.

Breast cancer care

We're proud to offer a comprehensive Breast Care Center to make the prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer as convenient and comfortable as possible. We offer advanced imaging diagnostics, a compassionate support team and other resources to help you navigate your cancer journey.
