Chief Executive Officer


Reed Hammond, a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Frankfort Regional Medical Center in December 2018.

Prior to joining Frankfort Regional, Hammond served as Chief Operating Officer at HCA’s Conroe Regional Medical Center, a 359-bed hospital in Conroe, Texas. During his time at Conroe, he helped improve employee and physician engagement, reduced employee turnover, directed the hospital’s Level II trauma accreditation from the American College of Surgeons, and launched a bariatric surgery program.

Hammond began his healthcare career as an Associate Administrator at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, Mississippi, and served as Chief Operating Officer at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, Mississippi. Following his time at Gilmore Memorial Hospital, Hammond served as Chief Operating Officer at Centennial Medical Center in Frisco, Texas and Chief Operating Officer at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Hammond played golf professionally and worked as a golf pro for several years before earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
