Frankfort Regional Medical Center was recently awarded Kentucky Hospital Association's (KHA) Quality Award at the KHA Annual Conference in Louisville. Recognized in the 100-to-250-bed size category, Frankfort Regional received the award for excellence in innovation in quality, safety and commitment in patient care. All acute hospitals, psychiatric hospitals and programs and post-acute hospitals and programs in Kentucky were eligible for the award.

According to the National Cancer Institute, prostate cancer is the second most common type of cancer among men in this country. Only skin cancer is more common. One in six men will develop prostate cancer during their lifetime. Early detection through screening increases the chance of survival.
