Frankfort, KY (January 21, 2008) - For the second consecutive year, Frankfort Regional Medical Center was chosen as one of the Top 25 Best Places to Work in Kentucky among large sized employers (250 employees or greater) by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and Modern Think. In 2007, Frankfort Regional Medical Center ranked the highest in the healthcare industry from both medium and large categories and was selected as the third-best company overall among large-sized companies.

'Being selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky is a proud accomplishment in itself,' said Chip Peal, Chief Executive Officer. 'Being selected for two consecutive years demonstrates our staff's commitment to being a great place to work. Our employees have the privilege and responsibility of impacting our community's health on a daily basis ' it's a challenging and satisfying vocation.'

The selection process, managed by Best Companies Group, is driven by an assessment of employee policies, procedures and benefits, as well as the results from an extensive employee survey. The Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) State Council, in conjunction with the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, announced the winners in the fourth annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky competition. The program is a multi-year initiative designed to motivate companies in the commonwealth to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence.

Based on FORTUNE magazine's '100 Best Companies to Work for in America' list, this program encourages employers like Frankfort Regional to boost employee satisfaction and pride. Companies who place among the top 25 must also demonstrate their commitment to their community.

On April 17, 2008, an awards dinner will be held at the Lexington Convention Center where the hospital will be presented with the award and learn the final rankings.
