Frankfort, KY (January 07, 2008) - Frankfort Regional Medical Center announced today it offers Wi-Fi high speed internet service in the hospital's main lobby, according to Chip Peal, Chief Executive Offcer. The service will allow visitors fast, reliable access to the internet and email, through an easy connection process.

'We are proud to offer this free service to our visitors," said Peal. "It provides an excellent opportunity for them to stay connected while they are in our facility."

Future plans include expansion of the service throughout the entire hospital - providing greater convenience for accessing information from anywhere throughout the hospital.

Frequently asked questions, equipment specifications and instructions for accessing this service will be posted in the main lobby of the hospital, and can also be found under the Wi-Fi Internet Access page.

To connect, guests need to do the following:

  • Check to make sure that your Wi-Fi software and card are properly installed, then turn on your computer.
  • Launch your web browser and you should be able to access the web.
  • Depending on the setup of your computer, it may not automatically connect. You may see a popup at the bottom right hand side of your screen that states there are available networks. Click on this to see the list of available networks. Select Frankfort Hospital and then click on connect.
